Open the Calculator.
You can tap the calculator app icon on the home screen, but there are other ways to open the calculator. Here are some ways you can do it:
- Tap its icon on the home screen.
- Tap its icon in the application library. (iOS 14 and later only.)
- Tap its icon in the search.
- Tap its icon in Control Center.
- Say or type “calculator” to Siri or Hay Siri.

Swipe to Delete Numbers.
It is a common misconception that if you type the wrong number into the iPhone calculator app, the entire amount will have to be restarted. Happily, you can swipe your right or left finger across the number display to remove the last number you typed and repeat the action if you want to remove several numbers. This is one of the best tips and tricks you can experience on your iPhone calculator.
The default iPhone calculator application includes a built-in scientific calculator that you can use to perform calculators, square roots, trigonometric calculations, and more advanced mathematical equations.
