A driver slammed into onlookers at the commencement of a Pride parade in South Florida on Saturday evening, killing one man and badly wounding another.

The pickup truck driver pretended to be a member of the Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Parade, but when he was told he was next, he quickly accelerated, plowing into the victims.

One of the victims died as a result of his injuries. According to investigators, the other victim is expected to live.

The pickup truck’s driver was apprehended and detained. Authorities did not immediately provide any additional information on the fatalities or indicate if they believe the incident was deliberate.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – After his vehicle overturned in Marion County on Saturday morning, a driver died.

The 47-year-old Fort McCoy resident was driving his SUV north of Highway 316 on 203rd Avenue Road when it slid off the road and flipped.

The driver was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the accident, and he perished as a result of it.

The male was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident, according to the crash report.

The accident is still being investigated.

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – After a terrible crash in Osceola County, one person died and another is in critical condition.

On Sunday morning, a 2003 Mercedes was driving south on John Young Parkway near Ravenwood when it ran off the road, hit a bus stop, and then hit a tree, ejecting the two men inside.

The car then burst into flames. The individual who died has yet to be named by troopers. A 24-year-old Orlando guy is in critical condition after being transported to the hospital for treatment.

At the time of the accident, neither man was wearing a seatbelt.

The accident is still being investigated.

OCALA, FLORIDA: As per the Florida Highway Patrol, an 80-year-old man, from Ocala, was hit by a tank truck on Wednesday evening. The victim was crossing the road.

The tank truck was driven by a 46-year-old Inverness man. The man was driving a 1992 Chevrolet tank truck north on U.S. 41. It was heading the intersection of SW 86th Street in Marion County.

Troopers said the 80-year-old man who was struck was the truck at around 6:30 p.m. The crash report says the victim was trying to cross the road and get back to his broken Nissan Juke.

The victim suffered life-threatening injures and was immediately taken to the hospital. His current condition is not known.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Also, along with the driver of the tank truck, a 46-year-old woman was inside the truck. The report says they did not suffer injures.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the case.

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA: As per the Florida Highway Patrol, a motorcycle crash that happened in Volusia County left a woman dead and a man critically injured.

The crash reports state the motorcycle crashed near Volvo Road and 35th Street at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday.

The report says the motorcycle was heading west on Volvo Road. Due to some unknown reason, the motorcycle lost control and left the roadway.

The man who was driving the motorcycle and the female passenger was thrown out of the motorcycle after the motorcycle struck a pole.

Troopers said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was immediately transported to the hospital. The man suffered life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.

The identity of the victims has not been released yet.

MIAMI, FLORIDA: A hit and run crash occurred early Monday morning in Little Havana. Miami police are investigating the case.

Officer Kiara Delva, who is also a spokeswoman for the police department, said in the area of Northwest 22nd Avenue and Second Street the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. There is no information about the reason for the accident yet.

Delva said the victim was immediately sent to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. The victim was in critical condition at the time of delivery. The detailed information regarding the victim’s health condition has not been obtained yet.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car crashed on Beach Boulevard, Monday. One person died at the hospital during emergency treatment. A motorcycle and two other vehicles collide on Beach Boulevard.

The Highway Patrol website shows the crash was reported near the intersection of Beachwood Boulevard which is just east of Interstate 295 shortly after 5:30 p.m.

Regarding the identification of the motorcyclist and driver and passenger of the truck, no information has been obtained. Troopers said the treatment of driver is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Troopers blocked the scene for some hours in order to collect evidence from the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA: As per the Florida Highway Patrol, a woman was struck by a pickup truck Monday morning in Volusia County.

Troopers said the woman was trying to pick up something she dropped in the road.

The woman, identified as a 30-year-old from Indianapolis, was crossing International Speedway Boulevard near Red John Drive. The crash happened at around 6:45 a.m.

The pickup truck was driven by a 20-year-old DeLand man.

The woman was rushed into the hospital. Unfortunately, she was later pronounced dead.

No information about charges has been released.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
