ORLANDO, Fla. – According to the Orlando Police Department, a fight broke out in downtown Orlando early Saturday, and one man was shot.

Officers responding to reports of a fight reported gunshots in the area of Pine Street and Court Avenue, according to the police.

According to the department, police were later informed that a man had arrived at a hospital to be treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

People running past DANK Orlando City’s business monitor, a smoke shop downtown, about 2:13 a.m., according to video footage shared with News 6.

The incident is still being investigated.

The Decatur Deputy shot while assisting the Sheriff in Brinson

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA- According to Decatur County Sheriff’s office, the suspect who shot at the Decatur Deputy is on the look. According to reports, the deputy was shot on Saturday night in Brison.

The incident happened along GA 310, near U.S 84 according to the chief investigating officer, Elijah McCoy. The time of the incident was reported to be around 8.30 p.m.

McCoy further added that the diseased Decatur Deputy was reported to be assisting the Seminole Sheriff’s office just before the suspect entered a vehicle. While being shot, the Deputy was said to be in his vehicle and was immediately transferred to the hospital but a stable condition was not shown.

Although the agency had arrested one suspect who might be a person of interest in the case, the main suspect identified as Troy Arthur Phillips is still on the loose and considered armed and dangerous, according to the deputies.

PALM CITY, FLORIDA– A man was shot and killed by a SWAT team in Martin County. The man contained multiple guns, including rifles, long guns, shotguns, and many handguns. According to Martin County Sheriff’s Office, when the police asked to surrender, he refused to put off the weapons and pointed the gun at deputies.

 

The man, distinguished as 47-year-old Justin Caldwell, died in the hospital.

 

A woman called the police about 7:05 a.m., alleged that her husband, Caldwell, was armed and dangerous in their house in the gated west village, as per the sheriff’s office.

 

Officers said that Caldwell’s wife and two children, ages 11 and 13, were managed to get safely out of the house.

 

The crisis negotiation team connected with Caldwell to get him out securely, however, it was ineffective.

 

Seaman told that, at a certain point, a man comes out into the parkway area, holding a rifle in his hand. When the officer commanded him to give up his gun, he refused and pointed the gun at one of the SWAT team officers.

 

The SWAT team fired on the subject to defend themselves, as they were forced.

 

Nancy Mudge lived in a nearby neighborhood, wondered at the situation, and said, “it is just ‘HORRIBLE.’ There is nothing else that I could say.”

 

Officers informed Caldwell was taken to the hospital, where he was marked as dead.

There is no clear statement on how many shots were fired.

 

16-year-old shot near Orlando park, homes struck by bullets, police say

A 16-year-old was shot Monday afternoon near Willie Mays Park in Orlando.

Orlando police said a teenager was shot near a park Monday afternoon. The shooting happened around 1:15 p.m. in the 4400 block of Prince Hall Boulevard. Two homes in the area were also struck by bullets.

According to the police reports, the teen was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center,  where he underwent surgery. Police said that he is expected to recover and return to a conscious state.

According to police, stray bullets hit some nearby houses, but no one else was injured. The shooter has stayed unknown, police said.  Police are doing investigation for this shooting and are trying to find out the reason behind this shooting. Neighbors near that place are afraid of this situation and they asked the police department to stop this violence very soon. Some of the people in that place were showing frustration due to this shot in front of the news reporter.

Police are trying to give information on their investigations about this shooting.
