The largest school in Central Florida district is going to start the year on Monday. All the Orange County schools are going to start virtual instructions for students from Monday.
Every student will virtually start the online classes of the 2020-2021 school year on Monday. All the students will participate including the ones who opted for in-person guidelines. Students will be made familiar with the new LanchEd program of the district.
The LaunchEd program is actually the choice given by the district and teachers’ union to parents of students. So, that they can select among virtual system, LaunchEd, or in-person classes for their students.
The district further explained that it has initiated the programs of providing laptops and tablets to students. Also, they are trying to boost up the server capacities so that each student can get effective online lessons. The district said that among the total students of 212,000 in the district, almost 63% selected the LaunchEd learning.
“This learning mechanism can have some glitches during the process”, warned the district.
Orange County Schools advised the students to check their devices before the school begins. If they face any trouble regarding internet, server connection, or other device issues, they should take the following steps:
- They should turn off the device and restart it after about 1 minute.
- Call out your internet service expert to see if the connection is working properly.
- Inform the school administration about the issues you are facing.
- Try to connect after a while again.

Seminole and Sumter Counties have decided to commence the school on August 17th. Brevard, Lake, Flagler, Polk, Osceola, and Marion Counties will start school on 24th August. Volusia County is going to start school on 31st August.
