Missing Florida mom Stephanie Hollingsworth’s SUV found in pond

The Orlando Police Department has located a vehicle in a retention pond near Dowden Road and Story Time Drive in the Lake Nona area matching the description of the vehicle driven by the missing mother from Belle Isle, Stephanie Hollingsworth.

Stephanie Chitwood Hollingsworth, 50, a mother of three teenagers is missing from home on Money Avenue in Belle Isle since Sept. 25. She was last seen at the Walmart on South Goldenrod Road in Orange County on Sept. 25.

According to the Orlando Fire Department, a deceased person was found inside the vehicle and that the license plate on the submerged SUV matches the one Stephanie Hollingsworth was driving.

Stephanie’s family members were doing their best to make search efforts for Stephanie. Her husband believed that he will find her. Stephanie’s family thanked all the searchers who put their effort to find Stephanie.

As per the police, the  SUV was found by drone pilots who were assisting with the search for the missing mom. “We thought the drones could get much closer to the surface, maybe see something they couldn’t,” the investigation team said.

Satellite imagery from space agencies sought in search for missing Belle Isle woman

Belle Isle woman, Stephanie Chitwood Hollingsworth, 50, is missing since Sept. 25 from the Walmart on South Goldenrod Road in Orange County. Her family made a plea Tuesday for space agencies to provide satellite imagery.

“We can get lucky to have a satellite passing overhead to capture her either walking to the car or the car leaving that parking space,” Bill Moore, a retired Orlando police detective, said. “The family requests the assistance of any corporation or individual to search stored satellite imagery collected on September 25th for the purpose of locating Stephanie Hollingsworth’s light pewter metallic (champagne color) 2000 Chevrolet four-door Tahoe.”

Reports say the family is seeking help from NASA, SpaceX, L3Harris Technologies, Microsoft, Amazon, and Geospatial Enthusiasts.

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to Hollingworth.

“It’s been a while since we’ve had any new information and that’s going to change,” Scott Hollingsworth, husband of the missing woman, said. “I think we are going to find a lot of stuff. We have a lot of faith and hope.” “It’s just amazing that we have no idea at this point what happened,” he said earlier.

She was last seen at the Walmart on South Goldenrod Road in Orange County on Sept. 25. Stephanie is described as- 115 pounds, 5’4″, with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray, black pants.

New information has been found on her vehicle. The Belle Isle Police Department believe that Stephanie is traveling in a 2000 Silver Chevrolet Tahoe bearing Florida license plate ‘Y50XUR.’

Reports show, her last known debit card transaction was at the Bank of America on Goldenrod Road on Friday afternoon.

It was found that her loved ones said that they got a tip about her Champagne Chevy Tahoe too. It said the vehicle was spotted on Narcoosee Road, heading towards the 417-528 area. The vehicle bears Florida license plate ‘Y50XUR.’

Her family members are doing their best to make search efforts for Stephanie. Her husband believes that he will find her, “we are looking for you. We don’t know what’s going on. But we’re going to find you.” he said.

The current reward for information leading to her whereabouts is at $10,000.
