MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – While handing her teenage sister a gun inside a car in South Florida, a Georgia lady accidentally shot her in the face.

The shooting happened on Miami Beach street on Sunday night.
Taniyria Holt, 24, of Atlanta, has been charged with culpable carelessness resulting in personal injury and improper firearms display.

The victim, 18-year-old Dre’Naya Ponder, was still on life support on Monday, according to the arrest report.

According to the arrest report, Holt informed officers that she, her sister, and two other women were inside the 2019 Jaguar filming a video of themselves with cellphones while Holt was handling a 9mm handgun owned by one of the other women. Holt stated that she racked the weapon and saw a live round eject. She claimed he handed the rifle to her sister, believing it was unloaded, but the gun fired and hit Ponder.

Holt was being detained held without charge. An attorney was not listed in the jail records.

MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA- According to the news, two men traveling in South Beach for spring break are accused of tranquilizing and assaulting a lady who was subsequently discovered dead in an inn.

According to the Police arrests, Dorian Taylor, 24, and Evoire Collier, 21, both from North Carolina were pressed with charges and arrested.

Police said the reconnaissance video was seen showing them entering the Albion Hotel with the 24-year-old casualty from Pennsylvania and were shown to be leaving without her. Miami Beach police say the lady was discovered incompletely naked and dead inside her room at the Albion on Thursday.

Examiners say the two men met their casualty at a café, gave her a pill, and went to her in where “they engaged in sexual relations with her on various occasions once she was oblivious or out” and that “they stayed inside the unit and didn’t call for help or help and started to take every one of her things.”

The cause of the death as if she died from an overdose is yet to be examined by the authorities.

The suspects will face manslaughter or murder charges if the results come out as an overdose.

The suspects also had used her credit cards all over in Miami upon stealing them. The officials also hold possession of a surveillance clip where one of the men was seen using her card at a local shop.

The accused two appeared at the court on Monday and according to reports is held without bond.

MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA- According to the news, a 9-year-old boy of Minnesota was reported to have been bitten by a shark while he was out body surfing in Miami Beach.

Kristine Weiskopf, the boy’s mother said that both she and her son were just in water for a few minutes before the shark bit the boy.

She said, “I was holding his hand the whole time and was kind of body surfing a little bit and he had fallen on his stomach.” Mom said she pulled him out instantly only to see a chunk of flesh missing from his son’s shoulder.

According to Weiskopf, she saw a 4-foot grey shark that was swimming away upon scooping up from her son’s shoulder.

The child was taken to the hospital by the Miami Beach fire rescue where the wound was closed by surgeons.

Child’s father, Ren Weiskopf said, “He’s such a great kid, and we are still in shock. But thankful. We thank god that it didn’t cost his life.’

MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA- According to the Miami city manager Raul Aguila, a big announcement relating to road closure was announced. According to the news, several roads that lead to South Beach have been closed amidst the spring break chaos. The decision was a preventive measure to control crime and misbehavior during this period.

The road closure affects eastbound traffic until 6.00 a.m. Monday.

The announcement also stated that there are special exceptions for three categories; Miami Beach residents, hotel guests, and workers that must pass-through.

In his statement, Aguila said, “in an attempt to abate the crowd coming into the city, we are shutting down the MacArthur causeway, the Venetian Causeway, and the Julia Tuttle Causeway.”

This means anyone can leave Miami Beach easily but come back wouldn’t be so.

Further Aguila said that this wasn’t an easy decision to make.

Meanwhile, Miami Beach residents stated they were happy about this decision.

MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA- According to the Police, a fatal shooting incident occurred in Miami Beach. The shooting claimed the life of one, according to the officers.

The responding officers reached the location of the shooting at 8.55 p.m. The location of the fatal firing is reported to be on 100 blocks of 6th street.

Although the officers got to the location on time, they were not able to locate the victim of the incident.

According to the news, later at around 9.20 p.m. police were alerted about a victim with a gunshot wound near Pine Tree Drive.

Upon responding to the location, the police discovered the victim to be dead.

No information is yet received by the police to confirm if the two incidents are connected.

MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA” As per the reports, a 56-year-old doctor, who had taken the first dose of a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine before two weeks died.

56-year-old Dr. Gregory Michael was a Miami-Beach obstetrician. The news report says the doctor was in good health.

The doctor’s death investigation is active. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other health officials from Florida are investigating to find out if the vaccine played the role in the death of the doctor.

Records show on Dec. 18, Dr. Michael received his first dose of Pfizer’s vaccine from Mount Sinai Medical Center. After taking the vaccine, 3 days later, small spots began to appear on his feet and hands.

Dr. Michael went to the emergency room at Mount Sinai, where he has worked in private practice for 15 years.

In the heath report, the doctor’s blood count was “far below normal ranges”. Then, Dr. Michael was admitted into the ICU. He suffered a stroke and died some days before the last resort surgery.

The doctor’s death is under investigation. If the vaccine played a role in his death, this may be the country’s first death linked to the vaccine.
