MARION COUNTY, Fla. –  One person was killed and four others were injured in a deadly car crash in Marion County on Friday night.

Two cars were traveling east on State Road 40, east of SE 1977 Terrace Road, at about 10:40 p.m. A car was behind the second vehicle of the SR-40 and the third vehicle was heading west.

One of the two cars heading east tried to pass each other and entered the lane to the west, but the lane, which was probably to the east, still collided with the front of the car, causing a third vehicle to catch fire. The 40-year-old Sanford, who was driving the car that caught fire, was not wearing seat belts and was in critical condition, If he was wearing the seatbelts he could be survived, The accident report said.

The westbound vehicle was carrying two 17-year-old girls and a 2-year-old boy. The 17-year-old girl who was driving the vehicle was not wearing seat belts and died in the crash. The other 17-year-old girl who was a passenger was seriously injured and the 2-year-old was immediately taken to hospital in critical condition.

The 55-year-old Deltona woman was slightly injured when she was traveling in an eastbound lane.

The accident is still under investigation.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an 86-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon in Marion County when his van was hit by a truck that ran a red light.

Around 1 p.m., a deadly accident occurred at the intersection of US 301 and County Road 318.

The man was driving a van east on C.R. 318 with a green light as he approached the intersection with U.S. 301, according to the FHP.

According to the FHP, a truck driven by a 26-year-old Bartow man was traveling south on U.S. 301 when it crossed a red light and collided with the van.

According to troopers, the Citra man was ejected from his van during the collision because he was not wearing a seat belt. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, he was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead.

The truck driver was not hurt.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. –According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Marion County motorcycle rider died after a late-night collision with a pickup truck on Saturday.

The Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Northeast 235th Avenue when a Ford pickup truck traveling northbound turned left onto County Road 314 around 11:35 p.m.

According to officials, the motorcycle’s front end collided with the truck’s left side.

The motorcyclist was identified as a 40-year-old man from Salt Springs.   According to the FHP, the truck’s 50-year-old driver was unharmed in the crash.

SILVER SPRINGS, FLORIDA: As per the reports, a 16-year-old boy has been missing since Monday night. The Marion County deputies have asked the public’s help in searching the missing teen.

16-year-old Anthony Kincman hasn’t been seen since Monday night. Anthony has last seen around 9:30 p.m. at 1952 SE 183rd Avenue Road in Silver Springs.

According to the reports, Anthony is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds. He has red hair and brown eyes.

The family of Anthony is worried about his well-being after the statements made by him.

In his last appearance, Anthony was wearing a dark sweater and dark jeans.

Anyone with information regarding Anthony Kincman’s whereabouts is urged to contact 911.

OCALA, FLORIDA: As per the Florida Highway Patrol, an 80-year-old man, from Ocala, was hit by a tank truck on Wednesday evening. The victim was crossing the road.

The tank truck was driven by a 46-year-old Inverness man. The man was driving a 1992 Chevrolet tank truck north on U.S. 41. It was heading the intersection of SW 86th Street in Marion County.

Troopers said the 80-year-old man who was struck was the truck at around 6:30 p.m. The crash report says the victim was trying to cross the road and get back to his broken Nissan Juke.

The victim suffered life-threatening injures and was immediately taken to the hospital. His current condition is not known.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Also, along with the driver of the tank truck, a 46-year-old woman was inside the truck. The report says they did not suffer injures.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the case.

As per the reports, Marion County Fire Rescue firefighters saved a woman who was confined to her bed and two dogs from a raging fire at a motel in Belleview Friday evening.

Records show around 6 p.m. someone called 911 and reported a fire at the Vin Mar Motel. According to the reports, firefighters arrived at the scene and found a woman who was confined to her bed. The woman was quickly rescued and was rushed into the hospital. Firefighters also located two dogs.

“I could be no prouder of the men and women of Marion County Fire Rescue this evening. Our firefighters did exactly what our citizens expect in carrying out our mission of saving lives and protecting property. Relying on their training and muscle memory, Heavy 1 crews were able to complete a grab and administer immediate emergency care while enroute to the hospital,” Fire Chief James Banta said.

Authorities are investigating the cause that led to the fire.

The reports say Matthew Quick was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Thursday near 471 Lake Road in Ocala.

“Matthew was last seen driving a gold 2002 GMC pickup truck bearing Florida tag 327 6YA,” deputies said.

If anyone has information about Quick’s whereabouts they are requested to call 911.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a driver struck a tree with a car in Marion County. The reports say the 21-year-old driver died at the scene of the crash.

Records show the crash happened around 10 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Southwest 5 Place and Southwest 210 Avenue in Dunnellon.

As per the troopers, the victim traveled through the T-intersection and hit a tree on the west shoulder. He failed to stop at a stop sign.

The reports say the victim was not wearing a seat belt.
