Driver faced with medical emergency just before crashing on Joel Boulevard

LEHIGH ACRES, FLORIDA- According to news, Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash scene in Lehigh Acres where an 80-year-old man was killed during the accident.

Reportedly, the crash took place early Thursday afternoon.

The driver faced a medical emergency while on Joel Boulevard around 12.10 p.m. while he was driving his SUV on the inside lane of northbound on Joel Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The news reports the driver to have driven off-road into a vacant lot before he collided with a tree.

Upon the arrival of the FHP, the injured was reported to have transported to Lee Memorial hospital where he was pronounced dead diseased.

LEHIGH ACRES, FLORIDA: As per the Florida Highway Patrol, a fatal crash in Lehigh Acres on Sunday evening left a kid critically injured.

Records say the fierce crash happened just after 8 p.m. on 8th Street SW near Olive Avenue South.

The 11-year-old boy was on the north side of 8th Street SW, west of Olive Ave S. The crash reports show a woman, 42-year-old, from Lehigh, was driving west on 8th Street SW. Troopers said the front right portion of the car hit the 11-year-old boy.

The kid was rushed into the hospital. Officials said the kid suffered serious injuries.

Authorities are interrogating the driver.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Information regarding charges to be filed has not been released.

LEHIGH ACRES, FLORIDA: According to the recently released reports, a falling window killed a man during the attempted burglary of a home in Lehigh Acres Saturday.

Records say 32-year-old Jonathan Hernandez attempted to break into a home. As per the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Hernandez was climbing through a window, and the window hammered down on him. The report says the window fall on Hernandez’s neck and killed him.

Lt. Russell Park said, “While Hernandez was trying to work his way through the window, it unexpectedly closed on top of him, pinning him and keeping him suspended in air”. According to Park, Hernandez was “no stranger to law enforcement.” Hernandez pleaded guilty to grand theft, a third-degree crime in 2018.

The 32-year-old died before the deputies arrived at the scene.

“He is not a burglar,” said Tyrone Lane, who said he and Hernandez were friends. “He’s not a thief. He’s not a bad guy. That’s not what he is.”

The investigation is ongoing. No more information has been released.
