FORT MYERS, FLORIDA: The Florida Highway Patrol said a two-car crash that happened on Thursday afternoon on Palm Beach Boulevard left one dead.

Records show the crash took place before 12:45 p.m. at Shoreland Drive. As per the crash reports, a 28-year-old man from Fall River, Massachusetts was killed. Troopers said the crash involved a van and a car.

The van was driven by a 20-year-old man, from Fort Myers. Troopers said the driver suffered life-threatening injuries.

The crash reports state the 20-year-old was traveling into the westbound lanes. The van then collided with the front of the car. Troopers blocked Palm Beach Boulevard while an investigation was going on the scene.

The 20-year-old was driving without a valid license. The reports say the man was arrested for driving without a valid license involving death on Thursday.

He was booked into the Lee County Jail.

The reports say a driver hit a car after making an illegal u-turn. The car was traveling east on Orange River Blvd. near Grove Lane. As per the reports by the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2-year-old, 7-year-old, and 17-year-old were in tow. An SUV hit the car leaving the kids injured.

The kids suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
