RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. – Police in Florida is looking for the person who shot a bullet at a 7-year-old boy sleeping inside an apartment and killed him.

Riviera Beach police said at a news conference that the boy’s 28-year-old mother was injured in the early Wednesday shooting.

According to Police Chief Nathan Osgood, the shooting was intentional, but it’s unclear if the gunman was aware that there were children inside the apartment.

When the shots rang out early Wednesday, the boy’s name, another sibling, and their parents were all sleeping. According to investigators, the boy was shot several times, and his mother was shot at least once.

According to Osgood, the mother is recovering from her injuries.

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Officials claimed that a Florida woman swerved her car onto a sidewalk, killing a federal judge visiting from New York and seriously injuring a 6-year-old child.

District Judge Sandra Feuerstein, 75, who had served in the Eastern District of New York since 2003, was killed in a car crash on Friday by Nastasia Snape, 23, Who is charged with vehicular homicide and other felonies. Anthony Ovchinnikov, the baby, Who was injured was taken to the hospital.

Witnesses told Boca Raton police that Snape was driving erratically on a busy lane, going around stopped traffic when she accelerated onto the sidewalk and hit Feuerstein. Snape then drove back onto the lane, colliding with a young boy who was crossing the street.

Snape allegedly started shouting and arguing with medics in the ambulance,   She had been drugged by the medics. Police claim they discovered a synthetic substance known as “bath salts” in her bag, which can trigger psychotic episodes.

On Sunday, she was already being held in prison on a $60,000 bail. The public defender’s office in Palm Beach County was closed on Sunday and has a policy of not discussing its cases.

 

 

A pedestrian killed crossing Colonial Drive in Winter Garden

According to the Winter Garden Police Department,  a crash on Tuesday morning in Winter Garden killed a woman. She was in her 60’s.

As per the police reports, a female in her 60’s was crossing State Road 50 with another person when a vehicle driving West struck the woman. As soon as the accident happened  Winter Garden Fire Rescue arrived on the scene. But unfortunately, they pronounced the older female deceased.

Eastbound lanes of Colonial are closed in the area.

“The driver of the only vehicle involved was transported to the hospital but did not have any significant injuries. The subjects who were crossing State Road 50 were not crossing in an area with a crosswalk,” police said.

There is no evidence that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver of the vehicle was cooperative. Police are doing further investigation on this accident.

Some of the guides for pedestrians while crossing a road:  First find a safe place to cross and where there is space to reach the pavement on the other side. Where there is a crossing nearby, use it. It is safer to cross using a subway, a footbridge, an island, a zebra, pelican, toucan, or puffin crossing.

10-year-old Florida girl’s mother shot to death by her ex-boyfriend

An ex-boyfriend of the lady killed her at home. The lady was a mother of a 10-year old Florida girl and it was her first day of online classes, reported by the investigators.

Maribel Rosado was 32-years-old with four children. On the occasion of her killing, her two cousins were also present along with her four kids at her Indiantown home. The murderer was Donald William, 27 years old.

William entered the home at about 8 a.m. and they both began to argue on some video, as reported by Synder. Willian shot the Rosado many times.

A teacher at Warfield Elementary school witnessed the whole situation when she was having a video call on Zoom with the 10-year-old student.

The teacher said that it was his first experience of a video call with the children when he came to know about the violence, he assumed that it was a domestic altercation. He further explained that the Florida girl immediately muted and put her hands on her ears. She was looking very afraid.

Then the zoom call was cut because the cullet had touched the computer.

During the shooting, no one else was injured.

William fled the scene on a bicycle and started to board the bus, but the driver of the bus considered him suspicious and immediately called 911. William was taken into custody by the SWAT team.

Moreover, he gave the full confession and he will be charged for first-degree murder.

Commuter rail reported that the cause of delay or cancellation of some SunRail trains was an unrelated accident in which a pedestrian was hit and killed in Altamonte Spring. Moreover, a crossing gate was also damaged in Orlando.

The police of the Altamonte Springs said that the man was hit near Ballard street. The noted time was 6:00 a.m. The name of the man is still not revealed, as well as the whole killing is still a secret and is under investigation.

A similar unrelated accident was also observed when a grossing gate was destroyed by a car and the train also went through the crossing thus getting minor damages. The site of this accident is Grant Street in Orlando. So the delayed trains include Southbound P305 and P307. While the canceled ones were P302, P308, P304, and P311.

Police activity caused the delay of P305.

A woman who was around 40 years old, was killed in an exchange of gunfire with the deputies on Sunday. Florida Department of Law enforcement has assured that they will carry out the investigation of the deputies’ conduct.

According to the agency, it was the woman who fired first and in response, the deputies fired back. She was killed in one strike.

Her name, which was released after a while is Bonnie Figueroa-Ortiz.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the women fled during the investigation process in Port Richey, Florida. After that, she started shooting at the deputies, however, she was killed after the deputies fired back on her.

She was pronounced dead on the scene after the treatment from the emergency personnel. As far as Deputies were concerned, so there was no damage from that side.

Name of the Deputies have not been announced yet by the Sheriff’s Office but as told earlier, the Florida Department of law enforcement will carry out further investigation.
