JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: The recent shooting that happened on Sunday morning near East Union and Van Buren streets on the Eastside left one injured. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, they responded to the shooting scene after receiving a call at around 4:50 a.m.

The authorities found a man lying with gunshot wounds at the area of the intersection. The identity of the victim has not been released. However, officials said the victim was in his 30s.

The victim was transported to the hospital immediately. He has suffered from non life threatening injuries and is expected to recover soon.

The officials interviewed a woman who said she has heard gunshots the last couple of weeks.

“It’s upsetting to see this because we try to do what we can for the community with different types of outreach and programs,” she said. “We try to make it better for everyone out here, but sometimes people have lost hope, so we’re doing what we can to make it better.”

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said the recent accident left a motorcyclist with severe injuries. The officials responded to the crash scene after 6:45 p.m.

The crash report states the incident happened outside The Bolles School on Friday evening. The motorcyclist was immediately taken to the hospital. But unfortunately, she was later pronounced dead.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 38-year-old woman, was heading south on San Jose. The motorcycle crashed with a van that was heading north. Troopers said the man driving the van tried to make a left turn but failed. The motorcyclist collided with the side of the van.

Officials said the man driving the van stayed at the scene to help the investigation.

There is no information regarding any charges. The investigation is ongoing.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: A shooting that happened in Arlington left a man dead. As per the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, two men fled the shooting scene and they are tracking them down.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex on Townsend Boulevard. Officials responded to the scene at about  4:10 p.m. Sgt. Stephens says while responding to the scene the officials found a man injured with a gunshot wound in his chest. The man got serious life threatening injuries.

The victim was transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead.

According to the reports, the two suspects fled in different vehicles, one in a black sedan and one in a white sedan. Stephens said the victim was meeting with two other men. As soon as the shooting happened the two of them fled the scene.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: As per the Florida Highway Patrol, an accident that happened early Thursday on Interstate 10 left a dead and two others injured.

The crash report states a 37-year-old driver was killed. The person in the passenger seat got injuries. Moreover, the driver of the second vehicle also suffered some injuries.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the car left from I-295 to I-10 when it was around 1:24 a.m. Troopers said the vehicle struck a concrete pole.

There was a 7-year-old in the passenger seat of the first vehicle. The 7-year-old got life threatening injuries. The 7-year-old was the daughter of the woman who got killed. The driver of the second vehicle also got some serious injuries.

The victims were immediately taken to the hospital. No more information is available at the moment.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a woman has been missing who has reportedly disappeared under “unusual circumstances”.

Amanda Arnold is 32-year-old. She is identified as 5-feet 4-inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. Amanda Arnold has been missing from Yogi Bear Lane. She was last seen on Monday.

Police investigated and a witness reported that she had left just before 3 p.m. The reasons are unknown.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said, “Due to the reported unusual behavior, we are attempting to locate the victim in an effort to ascertain her safety.”

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: The Jacksonville Fire Rescue arrived at the Admiral’s Walk neighborhood off Mayport Road. The report says a fire that broke out at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

The victim was a 64-year-old man, whose identity has not been released. He was later pronounced dead.

The Admiral’s Walk Community manager Jamie Caisse said “The entire community is saddened with the passing of a neighbor.” Caisse added, “He was a great neighbor great, great man. We are all very sad. We’re all very saddened and our hearts are with his family.”

“Wonderful, wonderful character. He used to work at the Navy commissary. He used to play Fletcher football in the 70s. He was one of the big three,” Caisse continued.

As per Caisse, the victim had been living in the home since 1997. Within four minutes after the fire broke out the Jacksonville Fire Rescue crew arrived at the scene.

No more information is released at the moment. The Jacksonville Fire Rescue says the fire is not considered suspicious.

 

 

A Florida woman was shot dead by a neighbor’s gun.

JACKSONVILLE, FLA — According to sheriff’s officials, The Florida woman was critically shot in the head when her neighbor’s gun fired while he was cleaning it a short distance from her house.

Jacksonville was the scene of the shooting on Sunday afternoon. The woman’s name has not been released by police, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

When police arrived at the house, a neighbor informed them that the gun had fired unintentionally while he was cleaning it. When the shooting occurred, the neighbor was about 40 to 50 yards away from the woman’s home.

Sgt. Edwin Cayenne of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office told news outlets that “At this early stage of our investigation, this appears to be a tragic accident with the most unfortunate of outcomes,”

According to him, The neighbor is cooperating with the police. There’s no news yet about whether he’ll be charged.
