3 critically injured in a crash on I-95

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, FLORIDA: According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a person was killed after the car which was travelling between the U.S. 1 and State Road 206 hit an oncoming SUV on Thursday just after midnight.

The crash report says at 12:11 a.m., a vehicle which was traveling north on the southbound lanes of the interstate near Mile Marker 300 hit the SUV head-on.

The three men travelling in that vehicle was going in a wrong way. The passenger who was in the front seat died. The other passenger along with the driver suffered life-threatening injuries.

Troopers said the driver of the SUV, a 36-year-old woman, also suffered life-threatening injuries.

Records say two victims were taken to the hospital in ambulance, and one was transported in a helicopter.

The identity of the victims has not been released. An investigation was going at the scene so the interstate was closed for hours.

The deadly crash is under investigation.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA: As per the recently released reports, a suspected carjacker who was fleeing from the police collided with another vehicle head-on. The deadly crash left 3 people dead.

Records say the suspected carjacker was driving in the wrong way onto Interstate 95. According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the man was fleeing from sheriff’s deputies on northbound I-95. Authorities said the man was involved in a carjacking in Orange County earlier Tuesday.

The crash also left 2 people, who were in the passenger seat of the second vehicle, with traumatic injuries. They were rushed into the hospital.

Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes said, three people –  the driver and a passenger of the second car along with the suspected carjacker died.

The identity of the victims has not been released.

An investigation was going on the scene so southbound lanes of I-95 were closed.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a shooting that happened Monday morning before 2:30 left two men injured.

The reports say the incident happened at UF Health on 8th Street. As per a spokesperson for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, two men were found with gunshot wounds. The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, said police.

Records show the victims were traveling southbound on I-95. Police said another vehicle drew closer and started to take shots at their vehicle. Officials said both the driver and the passenger of the vehicle suffered gunshot wounds.

Authorities have not released more detailed information about the shooting. The shooting is under investigation.
