ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA: The Florida Highway Patrol said a head-on crash on State Road 207 Saturday night left 2 dead and 4 injured.

Records show the deadly crash happened when two pickup trucks collided head-on at around 10 p.m. The reports say the driver of a pickup car, a 31-year-old man, from St. Augustine, was driving north in the southbound lanes. The man was going the wrong way on State Road 207.

Troopers said then it struck the second pickup. There were 5 people inside the second pickup.

The two victims, both women, from Ohio, who were on the second pickup were pronounced dead. Two passengers, including a 2-year-old, along with the driver, all from Jacksonville, suffered injuries.

Troopers said the 31-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries. The investigation was going on at the scene so the southbound lanes of S.R. 207 were closed for hours.

No more details have been released. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.: According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Tallahassee crash on Roberts Road in northeast Leon County left a man dead Saturday night.

According to the records, the 30-year-old man crashed head-on into another vehicle around 10:40 p.m. He was traveling west on Roberts Road in a sports utility vehicle as another SUV approached heading east. The man was not wearing a seat belt.

“The driver (of the westbound SUV) failed to stay within their designated lane, which caused the front left of (his vehicle) to collide with the front left of (the second vehicle,” the FHP said.

As per the reports by the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of the second vehicle, a 39-year-old Tallahassee resident, suffered serious injuries. Records say one of his four passengers, a 4-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries. The other three, a 34-year-old woman and two young children, were not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
