ORLANDO, FLORIDA: The news reports say the Florida theme park won’t sell new passes but will renew passes for current owners.
“We are currently developing new membership offerings that will utilize consumer insights to deliver choice, flexibility and value for our biggest fans,” said Ken Potrock, Disneyland Resort’s president.
However, California’s Disneyland has not reopened since March because of coronavirus.
Dr. Ady Milman, a professor of theme park management said, “When they sell annual passes which are significantly cheaper than typical admission tickets we are going to see the parks full of local residents.”
Disneyland made the announcement earlier this week after it allowed county health officials to use its parking lot for a large-scale coronavirus vaccination site.
