Joshua Henderson arrested for murder tried to drown deputy in pond

Clearwater, Fl. – Clearwater Police Department says a man named Joshua Henderson tried to drown a deputy in a pond as he was being arrested for murder.

Now, he is facing charges of first-degree murder in addition to the attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.

Joshua Henderson was arrested on Friday in connection with a shooting that killed a woman inside a car in Clearwater.

According to the police, on Friday, the officers received information about the firing at 3.12 pm. near Otten Street and Weston Drive in Clearwater. When they reached there, a woman was killed after being shot inside the car.

Hours later, police said on Twitter that they had arrested a man in connection with the shooting. On Saturday morning, officials identified the man as Henderson.

He was arrested after hiding from officers in a retention pond near the 1700 block of Townsend Street.

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: According to the Clearwater Police, a 32-year-old man was arrested on 20 counts of possession of child pornography on Friday, December 18.

As per the reports Charles Daniel Paul, 32, from Clearwater, was an employee of Pinellas County School District at Belleair Elementary. The reports say Paul was working as the food services manager. Paul is charged with transmitting more than 18,000 images of child pornography.

Police said a search warrant was issued on Thursday. Records show Paul was arrested for transmitting images that demonstrated children being assaulted and raped in a sexual way. The children in the images were not from the elementary school or from the local area.

CLEARWATER, Fla.: As per the reports, a man was found lying in the road with serious injuries in Clearwater.

Reports say the man was found around 5: 30 a.m. Thursday near Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Old Coachman Road. The victim was rushed into Mease Countryside Hospital.

Authorities said for investigation all westbound lanes are shut down and only one eastbound lane is open at this time. No more information has been released.

The Clearwater Police Department tweeted:

“Expect delays at Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Old Coachman Road. We’re on scene of an incident where a man was found laying in the road with serious injuries. Only one eastbound lane and two westbound lanes are open at this time.”
