ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Marian Glovina Williams and Valerie Young have been arrested and charged with the murder of a missing 13-year-old girl, according to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Williams was Delia Young’s stepmother, according to the Sheriff’s Office, and the two lived together. Valerie was said to be Delia’s aunt.
Williams will be charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child, child negligence, impeding police, and deleting evidence, according to court records. Deputies also detained Valerie Young, 52, Williams’ sister, and accused her of a variety of offenses, including the murder of Delia.
Williams told officers she was home on May 16th and saw Valerie Young, her sister, assaulting Delia, according to the arrest report. Williams asked the girl if she needed to go to the hospital, but she rejected, according to the report. According to the article, Williams discovered Young dead in her bedroom the next morning. According to the complaint, Williams summoned her sister, who arrived at the residence.

“They were both outraged and devised a plan to dispose of the body of Delia Young, a 13-year-old girl,” says the report.
Williams and her sister drove the 13-year-body old’s to a residence in Lacrosse, Florida, in a tote bag. The backpack was left in a bedroom in the house by Williams and her sister, according to the arrest report. According to the arrest record, this occurred on May 17th.
Williams informed detectives that when she returned to the house on May 18th, she discovered the bag outside and Delia’s body has vanished. Williams claimed she torched the tote bag because it tied her and her sister to Delia’s death, according to the police report.
Young’s body is still missing. Finding operation is still going on.
