The Orange County district has decided to start schools with virtual learning in less than 48 hours.
“This preparation would be tough and stressful at the weekend”, said the parents.
Sandy Siegel claimed that in this panic mode, how will my freshman go with the work of the school.
Siegal explained that two of her sons are studying in Orange County Public Schools; one is a freshman and the other is going to enter the senior high school this year.
Siegal said that the preparation of initiating the school this year is quite different than it was in the past. She added that no supplies are needed for students starting school from this year.
She explained that now to prepare for school reopening, she has to maintain a proper schedule for kids about going early to bed and getting up in the morning.
Also, one of the Orange County Public Schools staff members said that it is very difficult and stressful working out the plan of virtual school opening.
Barbara Staggs said that she is extremely scared about the idea of school suspension.
She explained that as she will be teaching kids virtually from Monday, she is concerned about working in school buildings in these circumstances.
Staggs added that she had lost her uncle due to COVID-19. She won’t like to be retired this early, as the amount of money will be cut off that she gets from school job, but she is worried due to underlying conditions.
Siegal is also concerned about the right internet connectivity, correct working of servers and devices of each participant at home.
