19-year-old man accused of attacking security guard at Disney World

The recently released reports say a Pompano Beach man is accused of attacking a security guard at Disney World at Animal Kingdom. Deputies said the guard had a 5-inch abrasion that was bleeding on his right elbow.

The 19-year-old James Patrick Arvid is facing charges of battery on a uniformed security guard. As per the reports, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to Animal Kingdom around 3:17 p.m. on Oct. 25.

Records say the security guard who was attacked said he was patrolling the park in the DinoLand USA section when he was tackled from behind. Arvid put him in a headlock. Deputies believed Arvid was in a state of excited delirium.

Arvid was taken to Celebration Hospital and reports say he told a nurse “I took LSD and tried to kill someone.”
