Driver fled on foot after a crash in Hallandale Beach

HALLANDALE BEACH, FLORIDA: The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver fled the scene after a hit-and-run crash that happened on Friday afternoon on Interstate 95.

Records show the vehicle crashed at the southbound lanes of the highway just south of Pembroke Road in Hallandale Beach.

The one who was driving a black Mercedes-Benz collided with a Jeep and a Hyundai. The crash reports say due to a piece of debris, another vehicle got struck.

The driver of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot. The Jeep rolled over. Authorities said there was a baby along with three adults in the Jeep.

The victims were rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital. They have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The officials are still searching for the driver that fled the scene.
