The Orange County School District has signed an agreement with the Education Support Professionals Association (OESPA).
The OESPA is a union of clerks, custodians, transportation workers, workers in maintenance and administration, technicians, food service workers, security guards, and all the other paraprofessionals.
OESPA claims that the district is going to provide masks and gloves to all the union members.
Also, OESPA explained that all the employees who are at high-risk exposure or are working as the primary caregiver of suspected cases will be provided necessary accommodations.
Union officials will provide face shields to the clinical staff and the workers who will be assigned as caregivers to students with disabilities.
Next week the meeting is scheduled between union officials and union members for further discussion and latest updates on the matter.
