INTRODUCTION,
If you are an iPhone owner and a Google supporter, you can now easily call Google Assistant a Apple Digital Assistant. All it takes is a little creativity, a shortcut and a finger – just as good as having a physical button to hold it.
Until Siri released the Siri shortcut in iOS 12, it was never possible to use Siri to perform the functions of your Google Home device. In fact, it wasn’t until November 2018 that Google added support for Siri shortcuts for Google Assistant. Regardless of the time, the important thing here is that you can use Siri to command a Google Assistant that allows you to command Google Home.
Usually, when you want to do something in your Google home in another room, such as playing music or broadcasting a message to others in your home, you do so with the commands of the Google Assistant app for the iPhone. But with the help of the Siri shortcut you can say “Hey Siri, play music” or “Hey Siri, do your job” and Siri will notify Google Assistant and tell Google Home.

STEP 1: Install Google Assistant on your Apple device.
You will need the Google Assistant app for this, so if you already have it on your iPhone, install or update it. It’s also worth installing the Google Home app – you won’t need it, but it’s good to see everything related to your Google Home.
Google Assistant requires iOS 10.0 or later. After installing it, be sure to sign in to the app using your Google Account associated with your Google Home devices. If you do not have any Google Home tools, make sure you have the Google Account you want to use.
STEP 2: “Add ‘Ok Google’ To Siri.”
On this screen, find the ‘Add OK Google to Siri’ section and tap the ‘Add to Siri’ button. This message may appear only after you have discarded other notifications on this screen.

STEP 3: Add to Siri.
On the next page, you will see an overview of the custom phrase added to Siri. When it says “OK Google” it explains that it does the “Hey Google” function. Tap “Add to Siri”.
STEP 4: Give Google Assistant App Commands.
In order for Siri to prove all of your Google Assistant, you must first tell those commands to Google Assistant, which will then show you the Siri suggestions you can enable.
You can use your new “OK Google” shortcut to get the mic ready and open Google Assistant, or you can open the app manually and tap on the mic icon at the bottom. Next, give it a command. If your ultimate goal is to use Siri to work on your Google Home via Google Assistant, you can say something like “Play a weekly playlist on Google Home”.
STEP 5: Add the Commands as Siri Shortcuts.
Now Siri has an idea about the commands you give to Google Assistant, which will recommend Siri shortcuts for Google Assistant. To find suggestions, open the Settings app, tap “Assistant”, then tap “Siri and Search”.Here, make sure “Siri and Suggestions” are toggled. It’s not technically necessary, so you can toggle it, but then you should at least make sure the “Show app” is toggled. Otherwise, you will not see any of Siri’s suggestions.
Next, tap on the “Shortcuts” at the bottom, then you’ll see a list of your current My Assistant shortcuts (like “OK Google”) and the ones suggested under the recent shortcuts for the ones you used in Step 3.
STEP 5: Tell Siri to Do Your Assistant Tasks.
The final step in the process is for Siri to do all of your Google Assistant or Google Home deed. If your iPhone has one, call “Hey Siri” or press the side button or the Home button on iPhones with Face ID. Then speak your Siri shortcut phrase (or type it if you type on the Siri screen).
