The Clermont Police Department said a hit-and-run left one person hospitalized. The reports say the incident happened in the area of State Road 50 and Grand Highway at about 6:17 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and found lying in the roadway. The records say the suspect vehicle, described as a passenger car with front-end damage, was last seen headed east on State Road 50.

Officials say the victim airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center. The identity of the victim is not released. The investigation is ongoing.
