ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA- According to officials, the two accused women were caught while trying to get their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine by posing as elderly, with a bonnet and wearing glasses. Also according to the officials their trick had worked, at least the first time.

The duo was arrested at the Orange County convention center on Wednesday according to Mayor Jerry Demings and Dr. Raul Pino from the Florida Department of Health.

Pino said in her statement, “We haven’t had any lack of willing arms to get vaccinated. We also have people faking to be old to be vaccinated. So yesterday we realized a couple of young ladies came dressed up as grannies to get vaccinated for the second time, so I don’t know how they escaped the first time but they came (to get) vaccinated. The bonnets, the gloves, and the glasses- the whole thing and they probably were in their 20s.”

Pino also added that he is not sure how the two young ladies managed to carry a valid vaccination card for a second time on Wednesday to complete the series.

The women however had some issues with their IDs and licenses at the time of the check.

With many more cases popping up from time to time faking their age to get the vaccination done, Pino has not declared if the two ladies will face charges
