A 27-year-old man died in head-on crash between SUV and semi-truck

A 27-year-old man killed in the crash that happened Saturday at State Road 471 and State Road 50. The Florida Highway Patrol is doing the necessary investigation for this fatal crash.

Troopers said that the crash happened around 11 p.m. Saturday at State Road 471 and State Road 50. The victim was a 27-year-old man from Tampa who was driving an SUV north on SR-471.

Authorities said he attempted to pass another vehicle ahead of him.

According to the records, when the driver got into the southbound lane, he collided head-on with an oncoming semi-truck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the SUV was “propelled to the east shoulder and overturned onto its left side.”

More accidents are happening in the recent few days in different cities of Florida. Using preventive measures like wearing a seatbelt, following traffic laws is important.
