52-year-old man arrested for child pornography charges in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA: According to the Cape Coral Police Department, in the parking lot of Ten Twenty Five, Someone found a cell phone. To find out the owner of the phone, the person opened the phone. When the phone was unlocked, the person found the dozens of child pornography images, police reported.

Authorities were able to trace the owner of the phone to 52-year-old Ty Rollins. He left his phone on the back of a friend’s pickup truck. The phone fell onto the parking lot which was found the next day.

Authorities searched the device. They found 3,952 images. Weeks later, detectives arrested him at his home in Bokeelia.

Rollins admitted the phone was his and he used it to download child porn. He’s at the Lee County Jail Monday night.
