A Marion motorcycle rider was killed in an accident with a truck.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. –According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Marion County motorcycle rider died after a late-night collision with a pickup truck on Saturday.

The Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Northeast 235th Avenue when a Ford pickup truck traveling northbound turned left onto County Road 314 around 11:35 p.m.

According to officials, the motorcycle’s front end collided with the truck’s left side.

The motorcyclist was identified as a 40-year-old man from Salt Springs.   According to the FHP, the truck’s 50-year-old driver was unharmed in the crash.
