15-year-old girl critically injured in a hit-and-run crash near Green Land Drive

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 15-year-old girl was seriously injured after an unknown driver went off the road and crashed into her.

Troopers said the incident a pickup truck was traveling north around 6:30 p.m. on Deer Lake Road near Green Land Drive. “Following this collision, (the vehicle) failed to remain on the scene and continued traveling northbound on Deer Lake Road,” FHP said.

The patrol team said the victim got “critical” injuries. “The crash is currently under investigation,” FHP said. “If anyone has any information related to this incident, please contact the Florida Highway Patrol.”
