11 year old Florida boy shot after another child finds gun

Brevard County, Fl. – An 11 year old Florida boy was shot by another child after a gun was found inside a home in Florida, officials said.

News outlets reported that the shooting took place near Cocoa on Sunday evening.

At around 7:15 a.m. the deputy responded to the shooting in a house in Kennedy Circle in unincorporated Cocoa.

Officials said the child was taken to a hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.

Detectives continue to investigate the shooting, and said they do not yet know whether anyone will be charged.
